The Sixth Grade classes experimented with magnetism. They began by participating in a problem based learning lesson where they were asked to help a city design a new high speed Maglev train model. Students, then, participated in an “Escape Room” activity, where they were challenged to design a door lock that can be opened using the force of a magnet similar to those used in hotels. Their final project for the first half of the year was to work on designing a new table top board game that uses the force of magnets similar to the game Klask.
